My first Full Moon Horoscope is here and, boy, this one is gonna be quite a doozy! Why? Because it’s Eclipse Season!

Before we start talking about what eclipses mean in astrology, let’s first discuss what the Full Moon is all about and what it means when it’s in Pisces ♓︎.

While New Moons are about manifesting and planting the seeds to start something new, the Full Moon is about releasing and letting go of what no longer serves us. Although the Moon is at its most powerful when it is full, it is not recommended to manifest during a Full Moon. This is because Full Moon energy is all about releasing and letting go so if you’re trying to create something on this energy, you’re actually signaling to the moon that you don’t want whatever you may be wanting. So I highly recommend to save your manifestations for the next New Moon.

Full Moon in Pisces ♓︎

When the Full Moon transits through Pisces ♓︎, it takes on the archetype’s mystical vines and you may experience emotions that feel “otherworldly.” The Pisces ♓︎ archetype is known as being very dreamy, spiritual, and “otherworldly” at times. It is the sister sign of Virgo ♍︎, which is better understood as an axis. Both are mutable signs so they are both very adaptable to the environments they’re in, however, how they go about it is different. You’ve probably heard recently that it’s currently “Eclipse Season” but what does that even mean?

An eclipse happens when the Sun, the Moon, and Earth are aligned in front of each other. “Eclipse Season” in astronomy just refers to the month leading up to and after an eclipse. We have about two Solar eclipses and two lunar eclipses approximately every 18 months, and they always occur six months apart. For example, our last eclipse season was six months ago in March (lunar eclipse in Libra ♎︎) /April (solar eclipse in Aries ♈︎) In the case of a Lunar Eclipse, the Earth moves right between the Sun and Moon, preventing the Moon from reflecting light from the Sun which provides the Moon its luminosity.

In astrology, Eclipse Season follows the same time periods as they do in astronomy and is an indication that huge changes are coming. As I’ve been repeating through out this horoscope, Full Moons are all about releasing, saying goodbye to what no longer serves us. Lunar Eclipses can only happen when the Moon is full, meaning that the energy of what we need to let go of is amplified.

A Total Eclipse is when the Sun, the Moon, and the Earth are perfectly aligned, whereas a Partial Eclipse means the alignment is slightly off so the Sun/Moon isn’t completely blocked. They still hold the same weight of impact in Astrology.

Remember what I said earlier Full Moon energy meant to go outward? Well, a Lunar Eclipse focuses that energy inward too. And then remember what I said about the Pisces ♓︎ Full Moon being challenging? Well, these challenging feelings are going to be amplified because this Full Moon will be sandwiched right between Neptune and Saturn, which is currently retrograde.

With the Moon being conjunct to Neptune—the Planet of Dreams and Illusions—and Saturn—the Planet of Traditions, Boundaries, and Karma—you may notice a themed of events happening around you that completely shake the foundations of whatever systems you are apart of. You might even experience so weird dreams too.

This Full Moon will be transiting through your First House of Self Pisces ♓︎ Risings. The First House is our House of Self—the only house that is solely about us. Like Sagittarius ♐︎, Jupiter is a ruler of Pisces ♓︎ meaning this is a sign always looking to expand itself. So with that in mind, it is safe to assume that your identity has had themes of constant change over the years. Well, get ready because this Full Moon is bringing more changes to your attention.

When the Full Moon transits through the First House, it’s signaling that you need to release what every is not helping you grow.
